COPPER ALEMBICS

Our company has experience in the realization and reparation of copper alembics for grappa distilleries of two types:

– discontinuous cycle distillation plants (for medium-large distilleries)

This type of plant uses steam created by a steam boiler that goes into a small copper boiler containing pomace that will be distilled.

– water bath distillation plants (for small distilleries) composed by a wall structure made of refractory bricks, containing an outer container made of steel, inside of which there’s a “little copper boiler” soaked in water (reason why we call it “a bagnomaria”). The water is brought to boiling level thanks to the fire in the inferior part of the plant, creating steam that goes into the small boiler to distil the pomace that is inside of it.
