All services are offered by skilled personnel and certified welders according to EN287-1: 2004, as well as ENEA certified personnel for the verification of thermal systems and designers for the realization of industrial plants.
Since 1993, LUCATO Termica srl offers Non-Destructive Testing service using the following methods:
- Dry penetrants (PT), magnetic particles (MT), ultrasonic (UT) to measure thickness and find eventual defects by certified personnel according to ISO 9712;
- Remote visual testing using an industrial video endoscope (VT) also able to offer 3D measurements of eventual defects by certified personnel according to ISO 9712;
COMPANY CERTIFICATIONS
Since 2010, LUCATO Termica is certified by TUV-Thüringen according to ISO 9001-2015 regarding the following fields:
“ Design, construction and maintenance of pressure vessels and boilers for steam locomotives (EA 18) – Third party responsible (EA 35) – Design, construction and maintenance of industrial fluid pipelines (EA 17) – Non-destructive testing (EA 17/2) – Metal structures building (EA 17/2) – Steam locomotives reparation (EA 18) “
Our Company is most known for two “niche” activities that contribute in passing on knowledge and working techniques nowadays outdated:
- The restauration of old steam locomotives is the activity that stands out the most, both for the charm of these massive machines and also for the use of ancient techniques that nowadays are not often used anymore (an example is the hot riveting of boilers).
- The construction and repairing of copper alembics for some of the most prestigious distilleries of our territory, (passing on the tradition of ancient coppersmith from whom we learnt and custody the ancient art of copper processing) thanks to which we’re able to pass on the art of copper processing of ancient coppersmiths.
Our strength resides in learning from the past/our ancestors to face-on future challenges better.
